One the girls finally decided shciM not care to go, but the rest fif 'tiS arranged to go. H " The day was very pleasant, and just the right kind for a fair. We took the car at Garden Home and in about ten minutes alighted at Tigardville. The Hall where the Fair was held is about a mile from the prosperous little tovn the sun was shining enough, io make everything look beautiful. A steam roller was at work on the approach to the Fanno Creek bridge. As 1 we croossed the bridge we could see the water sparkling in the sunlight. The maple trees along the path pre- tdct the passer-by from the hot sun? We "enjoyed the walk very much. As we neared the Hall the beautiful melodies of the band could be plainly'freard. '. The hall is situated on a tract of land donated to tfre "Grange in early times by Mr." Wibon Tigard anp'ld pioneer. "'At'one' side of the Hall a grpve' pf"lfir trees are grow.in. We entered and ' were ready to see the exhibits broght by the people of that vi cinity and the surrounding coun try. The exhibits were arran ged in the middle of he room so you could see from both sides, ' Everyone seemed pleased at the number of exhibit! Green vegetables, fruits also canned vegetables and" fruits of all kinds and various sizes were to be seen The school children's exhibit was at one end of the hall, it proved equally as good as theexibits of older people. It consis-.ted of j green fruits, bread, cakes and rieecjle work the womens exhibits of needle work were very nice and showed a great talen for for that art. Outside were coops of chickens and rabbits, one poop of chickens took the blue ribbon at the state fair. At noon a bounteous dinner wag ser ved in the dinning room which eyery-body prpnoupced fine. About 3 o'clock the races took place as follows; potatoe race, pmall boys foot rage, srgal girls foot race, older girls foot race, and a foot race for young men. These races were very jnterestipg While the racgs were being run the judges were awarding the prizes in the hall, which they thouht was a hard task as evey thing was nice. As it began to get late people began to leave and take away the things they had brought or exchange with their friends. The car we were to leave on would soon be due so it was nec essary to leave. The walk back to Tigard was a very pleasant one. As we walked along a little iispute arose as to which way our car would come one of the In fee 'SasfeeSjaU' cam' here last Saturday night the Beaver tton'biSys were defeated by the Christian Bros.
