The amount of money to be raised
by this special tax is more than the
amount raised by special school dis
trict tax in the year immediately
preceding this, plus six per cent. It
is necessary to raise this additional
amount by special levy for the fol
lowing reasons:
Providing for extra teacher in
High School for ensuing year, pro

furnace in Grade School and for in
creased cost maintainanje of public

TO INCREASE TAX MORE
THAN SIX PER CENT
OVER THAT OF THE
PREVIOUS YEAR
Notice is hereby given to the legal
voters of School District No. 48 of
Washington County, State of Oregon,
that an election will be held in said
District at High School on the 26th
day of November, 1919, at two
o'clock in the afternoon, to vote on
the question of increasing the
amount of the tax levy in said Dis
trict for the year 1920, by more than
six per cent over the amount of such
levy for the year imediately preced
ing. It is necessary to raise this addl
tional amount by special levy for the
following reasons:
Providing for extra teacher in
High School for ensuing year, provid
ing for funds to pay for new furnace
in Grade School and for increased
cost of maintenance of public
schools.
