held after the first aid class du

E. A. Hendricks has the
thanks of the Times for some as
fine mammoth blackberries as
ever grew outdoors. Washington
County soil and climate, aided by
intelligent and careful training
will produce wonderfully well,
as Mr. Hendricks has amply
proven on his fine little home
west of town.
Dr. Paul M. E. Carstens was
in Beaverton Wednesday from
his Portland offices. He reports
the birth of a 7-pound boy to Mr.
and Mrs. Floyd Bierly on July 6.
Residents of School District No. 48 are
Asked to Fill Blank.
In order that the work of the
next committee that gives of its
time to the work of raising
funds for Uncle Sam may be
made as productive, as direct
and as pleasant as may be, the
publisher of this paper and Mr.
C. E Hedsre have undertaken to
classify this school district by
means of a card index. The card
is reproduced below on this page
and this is an invitation to every
resident of this district to fill
out this card just as far as you
are willing to do so and hand to
Mr. Hedjre or leave at this office.
As this is a purely .voluntary
matter, no attempt will be made
to coerce anyone into giving the
desired information and the in
formation which is given will be
open only to the authorized com
mittees working on the nation's
business. In other words, we
are collecting and arranging in
an orderlv manner facts which
are already public property and
are affording an opportunity for
all to place before the commit-

have a bearing on your ability
to give to the charities and to in

If you fill out this card, we are
in possession of exact informa

and what youare able to do.
There will doubtless be those
who will not furnish any further
facts than those now in the rios
session of the committees. That
is their privilege, for this is sim

this information is not forth

made available for the commit

This is merely an opportunity
