It was Surely a thrilling time, the old fire gong humming the organ sounding its loudest, the drummer boy beating a fierce mttoo, the little folks coming out in .."double quick" and the upstairs pupils "shooting the chutes" time ' one minute and quarter. . ' Quite a number of children from outlying districts are at tending Beaverton school th: term. . ... . Chamber of Commerce Will Give Entertainment. On Thursday evening October 12, the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce will present to Ub friends another one of its noted entertainments.' On 'this "occa sion, Mr. Sparks, the noted car toonist and lecturer, will present one of his inimitable and humor ous entertainments. Mr. Sparks has a national rep utation as a humorist. Space forbids us publishing any of the numerous press notices from al most every state in the Union in commendation of his work, Mr. Sparks will be assisted by some of our local talent and an enjoyable evening is assured. The entertainment will takfi place In the High School audita rium and the price of admission is only 25 cents for adults and 15 cents for children.
