meeting, the fourth Thursday of

For the majority of youngsters
the vacation ended Monday
morning when the schools opened
for the fall and winters work.
There were 131 registered the
first duy in the public school and
about 30 in the high school.
More are expected in each de
partment later in the month.
In the public school the grades
are under a very able corps of
teachers. They are Eighth and
Seventh grade, Earl E. Fisher,
Fifth anrl Sixth. Miss Davies:

oat hay the other day when sev
eral tons were sold at $17 per
ton, Baled oat straw is said to
have been sold for 16 which is
unusually high.

several farmers of the immediate
neighborhood who have com
pleted silos this fall.
