day from an enjoyable motor trip to
Yellowstone national park.

As the result of a fall which caused
the fracture of her shoulder, Mrs. T.
P. DeFreece is confined in the Gen
eral Hospital at Walla Walla. Due
to her age the condition of Mrs. De
Freece is feared by her friends to be
critical.

son James Jr., of Seattle, and Earl

men are brothers of Mrs. Garfield the

practice of medicine in partnership

F. Sharp, the oldest practicionr m

neral of the late Mrs. Allen Richal in
Weston Friday were Mrs. Earl
Churchman and Mrs. M. J. Aimey of
Pasco, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Rogers,
Charles Williams and Miss Ruth Wil
liams of Athena.
Mrs. Belknap of Nampa, Idaho, and
little daughter, have been visiting at
the home of Mrs. Belknap's mother,
Mrs. W. S. Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson
recently returned to her home from
a Walla Walla hospital, where she
underwent an operation for the re
moval of a goitre. j
Mr. and Mrs. W. McPherson have
returned from their annual vacation.
They were at Diamond Lake, Crater
Lake, and went as far as Crescent
City, California, on the Redwood
highway. Returning they motored
over the Roosevelt highway, through
Gold Beach, Bandon and Marshfield.
Mr. McPherson had some splendid
rainbow fishing at Diamond Lake. ;
