- - ,.... r i : i i ii ' l; Athena Boy Scouts (By Scout Master LeRoy) ine regular Tuesday evening meeting next week will be replaced by a trip to Walla Walla for the monthly session of the Court of Honor there. Scouts from this troop will pass tests before the Court and also the . other scouts and troop officials that go will get an insight into the prop er proceedure in conducting the tests The Court will convene v at seven thirty p. m. at the County Court house. Every troop committeeman and Court of Honor official should en deavor to be there as well as any of the parents that are interested in scouting. Saturday at 7:30 a. m. the troop will meet at the scout hall for a hike. The route will be up Wild Horse creek to the Koepke place, then cross country to the Weston dam then to the Weston mountain road, where a truck will meet them to bring them home. One meal will be cooked in the open and also a lunch will be eaten about 3:00 p. m. Each boy should bring his own equip ment and supplies and then after the hike has started they can pair off in Buddy groups. Any of the people of the com munity that feel that they would like to learn how to prepare a meal in the open just follow the boys and you will see some very appetizing dishes prepared. A troop committee meeting was called Wednesday evening at the scout hall. Regular business and the troop activities were discussed. There are several problems confronting them that will need the assistance of the community to help them put over. Only two patrol leaders were out to the meeting Tuesday evening. Lets have the leaders and the pa trols all out for the Walla Walla trip next meeting and show the troop committee that they have a job on their hands to keep pace with the troop progress, Saturday, November 17th, we are planning on making a trip to Camp Nuznupa. More details of this will be announced later as we will have to open the camp up and get the beds etc.. in shaDe. We will nrnh. ably leave here Friday afternoon and return late Saturday evening.
