Mr. and Mrs. Mvrick have decided to remain in Athena, and will not remove to Pendleton, although Mr. Myrick is' employed there. Eldon and Arleen Myrick will continue their work at Athena high school. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mclntyre ana Mr. and Mrs. Will Potts have re turned from a motor trip to Seattle, Portland and other points on the coast. They arrived home Sunday, and had a very pleasant trip. MlSS MCUlintOCK and Miss Barthol of Pendleton, have been chosen by the Pendleton Bound' TTn Association to serve as attend' ants to the Oueen of the Round-Up during the 1928 exhibition, Septem ber 19. 20, 21 and 22, A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pittman, on Thursday, Aiicnst 30th and the little one only lived a few minutes. It weighed twelve pounds. Mrs. Pittman is ao ing as well as could be expected, and is under the care of Mrs. Jesse Smith, an efficient, practical nurse. R, A. Duffield drove to rortiana, Astoria and Seaside, accompanied by Mrs. Duffield and Miss Ella Mcuon aid of Walla Walla, over the week end and Labor Day. Mr. and -Mrs. Harvey Koseoerry left Monday on a motoring trip south their destination being San Diego, California. The trip is made in a new Dodsre sedan, and they will be gone about three weeks. Their place on the M. L. Watts farm will be nu ed by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Swift dur mg their absence. Mrs. J. H. Templeton of Seattle spent the last week-end here visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Chase Garfield. She was also a guest at the home of Mrs. Rettn Potts. Mr. Temnleton and son Joseph and Judge John B. Gordon, Seattle, spent the time hunting grouse near Goldendale, Wash., Mrs Templeton rejoined them Tuesday at The Dalles. Miss Elsa Ringel returned home recently from Last Sound, washing- ton, where she had charge of the culinary department at Madrona Inn during the summer season. Miss Ringel graduated from Oregon State College this year, completing the do mestic science course.
