turned to their homes Tuesday af
ternoon. George Finch and Bert
Logsdon were the successful hunters
each bagging a deer.
Guests last week at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Watts were: Mr.
and Mrs. Press Anderson of Seattle;
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson of
Portland, both the gentlemen bein,j
brothers of Mrs. Watts, and Stan
ford Anderson, a nephew, with his
wife and twin children, cf Portland,
and Mrs. Markham Anderson of
Walla Walla..
E. A. Dudley has purchased 385
acres of farm land near Dayton,
Washington, and an additional 325
acres has been leased. Twenty head
of mules and farm equipment was
secured with the land deal. Verne
Dudley will operate the holdings.
The farm purchased by Mr. Dudley
is well improved and is situated
about two miles from Dayton, near
the Washington state highway.
The 0. D. 0. club met Wednesday
afternoon October 13 at the home of
Mrs. Joyce Smith with 17 members
present. The afternoon was pleas
ently spent. Mrs. Lawrence Pinker
ton and Mrs. Floyd Tinkerton hon
ored Mrs. George Johnston with two
lovely tributes written and read by
them. After which the club present
ed Mrs. Johnston with a beautiful
Indian robe. Mrs. Johnston and
family are moving to Pre?cott, Wash
ington. Refreshments were served
by Mrs. Jesse Smith and Mrs. Joyce
Smith. The next meeting of the
club will be held Wednesday after
noon October 27 at the home of Mrs. j
Archie Mclntyre. Guests included!
Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Harden and Mrs.!
Hadley.
