Lloyd, the six year old sou of Mr. and
Mrs. David Russell died at Condon,
June 13 of peritonitis, after five days
illness. The ohild was a grandson of
Mrs. M. D. Vaughn of this city.

school are making preparations to hold

Weekly meetings are held where arti
cles for wear and use are made, and
many beautiful and useful things will

the afternoon, after which the young
ladies were refreshed with ioes and
dainty oonf actions. A most enjoyable
afternoon was passed, and it was the
general opinion of all that these social
occasions should be continued each
week, as such privileges have been
sadly neglected in Athena of late.
Sixteen young ladies enjoyed the hos
pitality of Mrs. Foss and voted her
a charming hostess.
