Helix Herald: C. S. Ferguson, who
has beeu the representative of Uncle
Sam in the postofHce at Adams for
the past 17 ' years, has tendered his

J. H. Kirby, who lately returned from
Gillam county, but who was for years
a resident of Adams, has sent iu an
application foi tbe appointment, and
will no doubt be soon tbe only legal
postmaster of Adams. He has also
been asked to accept tbe appointment
as justice of tbe peace as Mr. Gregolre,
who was elected, failed to qualify.
