He writes an Athena friend that he may be here sometime during the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Busb returned Wednesday evening from Walla Walla. Frank Wall, the young man who mysteriously disappeared last week, was seen the other day at Milton, so it is reported. Tonng Wall is a nephew of Mrs. T. Danner of this city. The O. R. & N. will sell tickets for a special excursion train to be run on September 25, from Milton to Pendle ton, where it will consolidate with the day train for Portland. Bound trip from Atheua, 6.25. Another section of concrete side- aik will be added to Athena's Main street thoroughfare. The location of the new walk is at the corner of Third street, fronting the building occupied by Ed Manasse's store. s(Mr. J. W. Craghead, late of Boise City, Idaho, a special agent of the Equitable Life Insurance company, has concluded to locate iu Atheua. He has formed a partnership with J. M. Hays and will engage in the real estate business here. Mr J. T. Condor, state superintend ent of the Christian Church Sunday Sohools, was in the city yesterday, the guest of Elder J. W. Jenkins. Mr. Condor has his headquarters iu Port land. He will later return to Atheua in the interest of the Sunday school here. On September 28 and 29 the O. R. & N. oompauy will sell round trip tickets from Atheua for $6.25 which will be good on sleeping cars ' under the usual conditions. The occasion for which these excursion rates are given, is Portland day at the exposi tion, September 80.
