ceased, has been probated and John S.
Harris of Weston, a son-in-law, has
been appointed administrator of the es
tate, which is valued at $1,500. Will
M. Peterson is attorney for the estate.
Friday evening, January 20, the local
lodges of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs
will conjointly install officers. After
the installation among the pleasures
scheduled for the evening is a banquet
the edibles for which will be supplied by
the Rebekahs.
Roy Tompkins has returned to his
studies at the Waitsburg Aqdsmy and
has taken up his abode at the young
men's dormitory. He has heretofore
made his home with the .Vollmer family.
Roy is very much pleased with his
school and is making rapid progress.

The case of Lieuallen vs. Carmichael,
a civil action brought to recover $40 as
reward for arrest and conviction, comes
to Justice Chamberlain's court on a
change of venue from the Weston court,
Stillman, Pierce and Powers appear for
plaintiff and Peterson & Peterson are
attorneys for defendant.
A. J. Parker has added the conven
ience of a series of mirrors to his barber
shop fixtures. The combination mirror

of Santa Ana, and the letter states that
all the oldtime Athenaites living near

and Mr. Fischer, assembled to welcome
the visitors, and enjoyed what they
termed a "family reunion." '

from Milton this week and has located
here permanently .He can be found, at

JOVhile returning to her schocl at Eu
gene Miss Velma Wilkinson suffered the
indignity of being robbed while on the
train. Her purse containing $5 was
taken from under her pillow, the money
extracted and the purse left Luckily
Miss Wilkinson had not put the bulk of
her money in the purse, but had it sus
pended about her neck in another re
ceptacle.
