MORRIS The death of A. J. Morris occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Young, on 14th street, March 25th. Deceased was 80 years, two months and 21 days old. and for one of such advanced years had been quite spry up until eboi.t a mmtli ago. He had made his home in Bandon for about eight years. Deceased is survived by twj broth ers, Joseph E. Morris of florence, Oregon, Wm. N. Morris of Florence, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs M. A. 1 and- rith of Marshileid, an 1 Mrs. M. E. Kirtley of Oakland. Cal. He is also survived by two sons, G. F. Morns of Eugene and Eva Morris of Chi cago. and the daughter, Mrs. Emma Young of Landon. There ure also a number of grand children and two great grand children. went to Point Richmond, Cal., where she visited for three weeks with her daughters. Mrs. Annie Smith, and Mrs. Chamberlain, formerly Miss Carmen McNitt of Bandon. Mrs. McNitt found no section of the coun try which looked better than good old southwestern Oregon, she says. Z. H. Gatchell left on the Eliza- beth for San Francisco where he will transact business matter for the Cen- tral Transfer company. This is Mr. Gatchell’s first trip to the outside in a number of years. G. W. Irwin, of Mill City, Pa.. Is in town today attending to business affairs, being owner of property in this community. Mr. Irwin arrived in the county from the East some weeks ago, but nas been ill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. R. Mrs. A. B McNitt arrived home a Barnes at Coquille.
