of his savings in Randon real estate.

GOLD BEACH GOSSIP

John Gustafson and his son Alex
arrived in the city from Astorin last
Friday. Mr. Gustafson has charge
of tho construction of the new can
nery which is being built near Bag
nell Ferry.
The Gold Beach hotel is steadily
going on with their improvements.
Carpenter Sorber with his assistant
is pushing the work rapidly. They
have completed tho arch between the
banquet hall and tho grill, put in
sonic new windows, doors and other
things and expect to bo ready for the
painters and paper hangers next
week-.
It is rumored that another cannery
is scheduled for Gold Beach. With one
cannery a going and another ready
to go and another n coming, wo
ought to bo bio to catch them n com
ing and going.
Tho many friends in this vicinity
of Frank Thacker will ho glad to hear
that ho hag fallen hoir to a small fort
