CLUB ROOMS
The local chapter of the Lyal Order
of Moose are now installed in their
new quarters in the second story of
Concrete Hall, over the O. A. Trow
bridge's store, and can bo said to have
one of the most complete, if not the
most complete lodge and club rooms
in Coos county.
In the frnt of the building is i
largo club room, fitted out with spec
ial emphasis on whatever would ndd
to the comfort nnd convenience of
the members of the order, is a largo
table well laden with newspapers and
magazines and other reading matter
and srrounded by deep comfortable
chairs. This is the louging room of
th eestablishment and nil of its de
tails carry our the lounging idea;
there are plenty of deep, soft cushion
ed shairs for everybody, cards and
card tables for those who wish to
pass away time with the pasteboards
a billiard and pool table for those
whose tastes run more to trials of
skill and there is an abundance of
light and air in the room at all times
Wall and chandelier positions for the
electric lights distribute the light in
uniformity and the light cream shad
ing of the walls gives the room a
cheerful appearance.
To the rear of the club room the
lodge room features the same ar
rangement as to the lights and decor
ations and is arranged so as to serve
for socialf unctions as well as lodge
work. Folding dinin gtablos are pro
vided for this room, which when not
in use are stored in a room at the
back. On the east of the main room
and connected with it by a serving
window is the kitchen, fitted up to be
of special convenience for card par
lies and other social gatherings that
may be held in the main room.
These will be the quarters of tht
Moose until such time as they sec fit
to build their own building on their
property at ihe west end of First
Street, which will probably be at
least two years from the present time,

Rev. F. M. Sanderlin, who is living
on his ranch in the Twomile country
has been very "ill this winter, and on
Christmas day it was thought that he
could not last inch longer. However,
since that time Mr. Sanderlin has ral
lied nnd it is hoped that he mauy be
restored to health and vigor again.

In order that the Associated Char
ities Association may bo permanent

the body bo commenced, Mayor Top
ping has requested all of the organi
zations that have apointcd delegates
to the association to advise him as to
tho names of tho delegates so that he
may call the first meeting for the pur
pose of organization. It is the plan
of the Mayor to have the active com
mittee of the association composed of
women, as he is of tho opinion that
they arc more capable of handling
charity work than aro men.
