Just as there has been nothing definite concerning the new auto and no de tails given out concerning its con struction. The fact, however, that Dodge Brothers have one of the larg est factories in the country and have been in cxistancc since the beginning of the automobile industry, and hnve built the working parts for over COO 000 autos is sufficient guarantee ol their expertness and efficiency That's why the announcement that they would build a car of their own has created such a tremenduous sen sation and that's why 11,1(18 men arc anxious to sgcurc the agency. BUSTER BROWN AND HIS DOC, TICK HERE Hunter Drown and his old dod Tigc hit Bandon Wednesday and forthc two hours that they hold forth in front of the Golden Rule store, traf fic alon First street was practically it a stand still. Five hundred boy? and girls, largo and small (20 or :0 years over what is known as the bo and girl margin makes no difference on such occasions) jammed the street and sidewalks, theirs cars on Bustci and their eyes on Tigc. By three o'clock the clatter and jabber of the kids in the street drowned out all other noises. Bus ter had not yet arrived on the scene and disappointment was beginning to spread on the faces of some, whei. one wide-awake lad announced "here ho comes." Dozens of youngsters (locked up the street to escort the rco coated "Chief of the mischief makers' to his platform. No. he didn't come up to the ex pectations of the kids. Fifty-four years .on this earth has kind of kick ed the cussedness out of Buster and nine years has put a kink into Tigo's hind legs, although time has not dull ed the intellect of cither. The Buster Brown who appeared before the local kiddies Wednesday was born in 1800 and ho says lie was so busy playing tricks in his youth that lie forgot to grow, consequently he is only -11 inches high nnd weighs onlv a little over 00 pounds. Buster talked and Tigc performed for two hours and then Buster tool the nlatform again to distribute badges and buttons among the crowd. My what a scramblo! Children and men and well, just keep this to yourself, but there were one or two women who got their toes tramped on in that scramblo.
