When Doo sees tho size of tho crowd awaiting him ho decides there will be no duel. He and Ping make their escape in an air ship. Ping throws a bomb at their pursuers, loses his balance and falls out. Pnsy Good, having a heated argu ment wjth tho manager of tho hotel about her bill, whon Doo arrives and upon learning of her misfortune, pays her bill. Pansy is grateful and Doc loses his heart. Bap tiste gets tho worst of it. The duel creates a panic in the hotel and Doe's apartment is demolished. Doe decides to get back to Broadway and Bap tiste plans to follow.
