Judge John S. Coke, accompanied
by Court Reporter A. B. Loud of
Marshfield, passed through Bandon
Wednesday on their way to Curry
County where Judge Coke will hold
court.
II. W. Young, of the Coquille Sen
tinel, who with his family had been
camping on tho beach near Johnson's
Creek for a couple of weeks, broke
camp and returned to their home
Wednesday. Mr. Young says they had
x delightful time.
W. J, Longston, manager of the
Longston Construction Co., of Coquille
was in tho city Wednesday and attend
ed the council meeting Wednesday.
Mr. Longston's company was award
ed the contract for the paving to be
done on First Street.
Capt. Robert Johnson, will begin
clearing up his lot on First Street
in tho burned district at once, with the
view of starting his new building in
tho near future. He expects to erect
rc-inforced concrete fire walls, with
probably wooden interior.
E. II. Meade and sister, Mrs. Hel
en Harvey, formerly of tho Margar
et lies Co., but who are now ranch
ing near Coquille, are in this city for
a few days, visiting at the J. T. Mars
home. Mr. Meado's many Bandon
friends nre always glad to see him.
C. T. Shomacher, representing tho
Koliler & Chase Piano Co., of Port
land and Sun Francisco has been in
tho city n few days arranging with tho
Bandon Drug Co. to handle their pi
