Tho county road between Langlois
and Port Orford will be changed at
the Port Orford end so as to go in
to that city over Oregon Street in the

will spend some time in Bandon look
ing after the interests of her prop
erty here.
A number of cases of small pox
are reported on Coos Bay. The pub
lic school at Cooston was closed tho
first of this week because of several
.cases at that place.
Thos. Howe- returned from 'Co
quille Thursday, where he had been
attending court. Ho will now take
up his residence- on his property in
Waterman park, which he recently
purchased from Fred L. Lecpor.
The Bandon attorneys were in .Co
quille the first of tho week being in
attendance at the opening of court
in that city. There are rr)nny cases
on the docket and it appears that
this term of court will extend well
up into May, if not nearly to tho first
of June.
W. II. Meredith of, Wedderburn,
Democratic candidate for Congress,
passed through Bandon last night on
his way to Coos Bay and will prob
ably go on out into the valley in the
interests of his campaign. Mr. Mere
dith says everything looks very en
