The committee is working hard which means that everybody present will surely enjoy the occasion to the ful lest extent. The "Men's Fellowship" club of Marshfield will hold a debate Jan. 27 on the question, "Resolved that the city of Marshfield should at once acquire and operate a muni cipal wgter system." G. T. Mr Laird is a brother of Geo. P: Laird of this city. R. S. Dollar, who Ins been look ing after business interests, on the Coquille, was in Marshfield, Thurs day, accompanied by E, E. Johnson of Goquille. It is rumored that the Dollar company is, making arrange ments to acquire additional interests in the lumber business on the riv er. Marshfield News. The Aloha club gave a card party at Odd Fellows' Hall Tuesday night. There were enough present for nine tables and the evening was greatly enjoyed. Mrs Gale won the first prize for ladies and Mrs. T. W. Robison second. The first prize for gentlemen was won by Walter S. Wells snd W. E Best succeeded in winning second. Mrs. Carl Nelson had the mis fortuneto get her arm broken last Thursday. As she wft going around the corner of the house a gust of wind caught her and literally lifted her off her feet dashing her to the sidewalk with the above effect.
