A Misunderstanding
E. Lcwin who was allowed $50.00
by the council to repair the beach
sidewalk and keep the same in repair
for two years states that there seems
to be a misunderstanding about the
proposition as the $50.00 will not
even do the first work. He has call
ed on some Aith a subscription list
asking aid and they have told him
tl.ey understood the $50.00 was to
compensate him entirely, which,
however, anyone can see after re
flection that it would not.
Mr. Lewin desires that that this
statement be made so that people
ijl not think he is trying to graft
them when he asks for help. The
$50 will not pay for the work of fix
ing up the walk this time say nothing
about the upkeep hereafter.
