All our New Fall and Winter Clothing is now open for inspection. The death of Mrs. J. I). Mills, which occurred at North Bend Wed nesday, has cast a great gloom over her many friends in this city. Mrs. «Mils was the wife of J. D Mills, the genial manager of the Hotel Gallier, and Miss Edna Mills is lheir daughter. Deceased formerly lived in St. Paul, Minn., but came to Bandon about three moi.ths ago to be with her husband and daughter. At that time she was apparently in good health but the disease, which no doubt had been working on her for s< «me lime, suddenly took a violent iorm, and on last Eriday she was taken to Coos Bay to enter a hospi tai for an operation, which it was hoped might be the means of restor ing her to health; but this also proved of no avail. The remains were brought to Ba i- don yesterday and interment wa- made in the Bandon cemetery today. The funeial was held at St. John’s Episcopal church at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon. The number of people who attended the funeral and the beautiiul floral contributions testified to the high esteem in which the 1 ills family is held. During her short stay here, Mrs. Mills greatly endeared herself to many people, and a large circle of friends will extend the most sincere sympathy to Mr. Mills and his daughter. received a tine Jersey bull on the last The Eirst National Bank at Marsh trip of the Newport from Portland, field has been bought by the First and Frank Van I.uven a Jersey Trust and Savings Bank, and tne heifer that would be hard to excel. capital stock will be increased to Coos and Curry county ranchers are $ ioo ,< mx >. with an ample surplus. stocking up with the best grades of J.
