The basic recipe below shows how «asy It la. Three methods of freezing can ba used. 1. In Automatic Refrigerator: Quick freezing Is preferable; 3 or 4 hours Is ample time to freeze delicious smooth mixture» In the freezing tray of an automatic refrigerator If tha temperature la aet low. However, aa soon as the Ice cream la frozen, tha cold con trol should be turned back to nor mal for storage. >. In Ice and Coarse Malt: Place tha mixture In • covered mould or a autubla empty can. Ailing only two-thtrda full: seal the covers tightly by blading with cloth dipped In melted fat; bury the montd In a mixture o f Ice and salt for about 4 hours. Use four parts finely cracked Ice and one part coarse salt. 3. In lea Cream Freezer: Add the heavy cream unwhipped, using with It an extra % cup milk. Freeze aa usual using 4 to 8 parti Ice to 1 part coarse salt and 4 parts Ire to 1 part salt for packing when frozen. Chocolate, Vanilla or Butterscotch Ice Cream 1 package chocolate, vanilla or butterscotch arrowroot pudding 3 cups milk H cap granulated sugar 1 cup cream, whipped Mix chocolate, vanilla or butter- scotch pudding with ml(k; bring to boll, atlrrlng constantly. Remove from Are; add auger. Cool slightly; pour Into refrigerator freezing tray to chill. Freeze quickly about 1 hour until thick but not hard; fold In whipped cream. Freeze quickly 3 to 4 hours. Makes about 1 quart. Banana lea Cream 1 recipe vanilla lea cream 3 banana«, or % cup pulp Maka Ice cream mixture, adding bananas rubbed through a aleva when adding tha cream. Makes about 1 quart.
