does get on your nerves, but a
certain am ount of noise seems
necessary to tho developm ent of
children. C ertainly they cannot
be continuously hushed. If you do
that you may have them tiptoeing
around m entally all th eir lives.

home are pretty well departm en­
talized. You cook In th e kitchen.
You sleep In the bedroom. You
eat In th e dining room or break­
fast nook. Why not, on this basis,
a clatter room w here children may
