from tw o to th ree tim es, says Coun­
ty A gent C. A. H enderson, who has
been carry in g on tria ls in cooper­
ation w ith
fa rm e rs
fo r several
years. One field in p a rtic u la r, which
fo rm erly yielded five o r six loads
of m ixed alsike and g ra s s hay. was
tre a te d
w ith 100 pounds of sul-
.ih er per acre in
th e
sp rin g of
l i b l , and in 1932 yielded 16 loads
o f hay of a much b e tte r quality. It
)oods this season. One load of m an­
loads th is season. One load of dan-
u re m ixed w ith su lp h u r w as d is­
trib u te d on a n o th e r field, and th e
alsike on the tre a te d a re a reached
a h eig h t o f 22 to 24 inches, com­
p ared to 5 o r 6 inches on th e re­
m ainder of th e field.
