th e bill. Eddie is forced to tak e
a roll from th e b rie f case, and this
is observed by Monk and l-efty,
two crooks. He is hom ew ard bound
in a ta x i, and is
chased by the
crooks. To escape them , he dashes
into a service e le v a to r in a hotel ami
e n te rs a room w here a c ra p gam e,
in w hich crooks and g a n g ste rs are
