The Bi.’la Submitted, One Referred Back To Recorder 1» The regular monthly meeting of the Town Council was held at the Town Hall Monday evening of this week, all members o f the Town g o vernment being present excepting the health officers. Minutes o f the previous meeting were read and the month’s bills presented: A. E. Hanson, payment on lot $100.00 P. E. P. Carlson, labor ............. 6.00 One bill was referred back to the Recorder for further information. There was some talk about in stalling a cheek meter beside the one now registering the Town's water supply and the Council fi nally voted to have the Marshal investigate the cost and report back as soon as practicable. The Recorder was instructed by the Council, with the advice of the City Attorney, to draw the Town's money out of the present checking accounts where it is held in a con siderable number of separate ac counts. and to purchase certificates o f deposit with the money, except fo r a nominal sum which was to be kept in one checking account. At the suggestion of Alderman Talbert, the City attorney was re quested to prepare another parking ordinance to embrace that part of Front from Main St. east to the depot and some portions o f streets north of Broadway. The ordinance will probably be up before the coun cil at their next monthly meeting. Recorder Dietsch made the sug gestion that there be a reduction in the present minimum water chargt- from $2 00 to $1.75 per month and there were suggestions that this might also be adopted with a cor responding reduction o f the mini mum cubic feet. However ro action was taken on the matter. I t was further hinted at that there has been a number of coupons of outstanding improvement bonds which have been called away back in 1925 that were coming in and that the fiscal agency at New York had been paying these coupons right along. The City Attorney sta ted that if the bonds were in the same hands as when the call for them was published that the amount paid on these coupons could be de ducted from the face o f the bonds but if the bonds have been sold to an innocent purchase, that the Town would have to pay the full face value o f the called bonds.
