various war service organizations of
the District of Columbia, Herbert
Hoover declared against reduction of
expenditures for the care of veterans.
He approved the policy of Republican
administrations during the last seven
years In showing ex-service men the
utmost liberality.
Mr. Hoover's remarks to the delega­
tion were as follows:
"I believe all of America recognizes
our national obligation to our veter­
ans. The country today Is providing
pensions and compensation to 835,292
men and women, with Insurance and
