The dinner was in honor of Willard Gillette s fifth birthday and also his uncle, Wilson G illett’s birthday. The two honor guests received a number of pretty gifts. Last Thursday Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Rike spent in Salem on a busi ness trip, and on Sunday they in company with the Earl Ringdort family and Harlie and James Rike motored te Waterloo and vi-.iled at tbe August Lueck horns and also attended the Sunday school con­ vention.
