With perfect weather and the
bees droning auiorg the blossom«
of the nearby orchard and field
mice playing hide and seek among
the empty gun shells, Towaer out
in the adjoining field digging out
a gopher, robin redbreast chirking
sweet music to bii cutie; oh whal e
the use of mentioning any more
distracting things, enough has been
said a'.ready and anyone who ie
acquainted with Oregon spring
days kt.ows th at such a time is
not conducive to good marks
manship.
A spirit of live and let live was
not only felt but practiced and the
only man of the gun club member,
ship whose nature was awry with
this epirit was C. H. Morris who
tore ino the little harmless pigeons
for a 25 straight. C. P. Moody and
Frank Gansle both wavered long
enough for a miss each and the
end of a perfect day was not to be.
Drinkard, Norton, Cross, Fuller,
Hover, who usually are strong on
getting all of them, listened too
long to mother nature and let one
or two go.
During the day|some good work
was done by different members of
the club. Tom Hover shattered 28
out of a possible 24 in a double
event and C. P. Moody hung Up a
score of 49 out of a possible 50 in
hir first two strings.
The club maintains its per cent-
age standing.
