Would you scrap Oregon’s direct

chairm anships now held by Sena
tors McNary, Smoot, Borah, John
son, Jones, Warren and Oddie, all
western men? Would you repudi

The fight for the U. S. Senator-
ship is between the democratic
nominee and Frederick Steiwej;,
republican. No Independent has
ever been elected to the U. S. Sen
ate.
If you believe in the direct prim
ary— If you w ant the west to re
tain its power in national affairs
by reason of republican control of
the senate—if you believe in the
policies of Calvin Collidge—
The republican party ot Oregon
¡s fortunate in having Mr. P atter
son as its candidate for Governor.
Successful business man and farm
er he is equipped to meet and solve
the problems th at will confront
him as Governor.
Economy, he
has practiced in private life; eco

chief executive.
The only real pre-election prom

he will not follow established pre
cedent and spend the people's time
and money traveling about the
state m aking speeches.

C IR C U LA TO R
The Wood SuperiorC irculator is
made like a warm air furnace.
The inside stove is constructed
s in ila r to our well-known Wood
Superior, but has in addition an
outer casing which forms the cir
culating Hues. The body of the
inside stove is made of special
heavy gage iron and securely fit
ted to the cast inner closed top and
to the corrogated bottom.
The
sectional ventilated,
corngated
linings are extra high and durable.
The Wood Superior Circulator
consists ol an inner tire chamber,
surrounded b y an ornam ental cas
ing, either W alnut F.uamel finish
or Black with Wellsville Pol
ished steel body. This casing is
dot in contact with the fine chamb
er at any point, there being an in
tervening circulation space from
the bottom to the top of from four
to five inches. The bottom plate
has open fret work perm itting the
easy Ingress of the colder air near
the Hour to the space between the

it becomes highly heated and is
pushed upward and out through
the fret work top, thus causing a

throughout.
The Wood Superior Circulator is
provided with a water pau, enam-
ed inside, which is attached to the
back casing and is large enough to
afford a satisfactory degree of moist
air, owiug to its large evaporating
surface.
The Wood SuperiorC irculator is
uiup -tio tia o ly tin? most wonderful
heating stove ever offered for the
use of wood.
It will heat several cennecting
rooms easily supplying plenty of
moisture to keep the circulated air
in the most healthful condition.

Hector Macpherson, republican
candidate for representative, speak
ing before the Linn county meet
ing of the Farmers Union at Luke
Creek receutly maintained that all
our efforts Io reduce taxes will fail
unless we cut out the waste and
graft which uow prevails.
He asked for the support of all
farmers and business men on his
consolidation program. He pro-!
proposes to abolish the entire lot
of 64 boards and commissions
which now run the state's business. ;
and to reorganize their work under
nine responsible departments.
This program will save much
money now spent uselessly in sal
aries, office spacg and help, auto
mobile cost aud upkeep, railway
fares and hotel bitle; and at the
same time will give the itate more
efficient service.

To the Voters
of Linn County
Being the Republican nominee for County Commissioner
of Linn County. I believe the voters are entitled to know what
to expect in the event of my election, so I am taking the liberty
of subm itting a brief statement.
I have lived in Linn county for the past tweDty-five years.
My home and business interests are all in Linn county. I am
faminar with conditions in all parts of the connty, and if elected
will consider the interests of the county as a whole and endeav
or to give a eqnare deal to all sections.
I fully realize the present burdeu of tax atio n , and if I am
e.' eted I will at all times have the interests of the tsx p ay ers at
heart and will strive earnestly to elim inate waste, extravagance
and improper expenditure of the people’s money. I will use my
best efforts to see that from every dollar'« worth of tax money
there is rendered a dollar's worth of service. I
ill work for
the progress and development of Linn county.
Earnestly soliciting your support, I
Cordially yours,
