Here are highlights of the man, who really is
well qualified to be an important part of the gov-
?rnment of Josephine County.
Born and educated in Nebraska, Pat McCourt-
ney is 47 years of age “old enough to know how
and young enough to do it.”
From Nebraska to Chicago to a job with Inter
national Harvester Co. Transferred to Kansas
City, then promoted to the Denver territory.
In 1942 moved to Grants Pass as representative
of Columbia Equipment Co., road and highway
?onstruction equipment. Contract with this com
pany completed just one month ago (Sept. 30).
Pat and Mrs. McCourtney live at 910 S.W. “L”
Street. They have 2 sons, married and have 4
grandchildren.
For 10 years Pat McCourtney has lived in,
worked in and taken an active part in ( ounty
activities.
A man whose training and experience well
qualify him to serve our County well.
A fellow without an “axe to grind”. The very
kind of a man to hire to help run a County that is
growing as fast as Josephine County.

three days last week. The Spahnles
have just purchased a home in
Grants Pass and upon their moving
from Rawlins here, Mr. Spahnle
will open an Auto Electric shop
in Hwy 99 north

IOOF for the state of Oregon.
A region meeting for all the

held in Grants Pass Saturday, Nov.
