the church he built. Rev. and Mrs.
D. B. Wantland, of the Kerby As­
sembly of God, will begin a nine-
month leave of absence from the
pastoral ministery following the
services August 17 (Sunday).
Rev. Homer Thompson, former
assistant pastor of a Kansas City
Assembly of God church, will re­
place Rev. Wantland as pastor of
the Kerby church. The Thomp­
sons and their two children will
arrive for the following Sunday
August 24.
In 1944 the Wantlands started
the only church i in Kerby, building
the church and parsonage.
