Selma 621 SEI.MA—Thelma Blue was the officer installing new officers at D.C.D. meeting last Thursday. New officers arç chairman, Amy Con­ ger; vice-chairman, Flora Sandell; secretary, Jane R.ggan and treas­ urer, Marge Simington. The new chairman named the following committees, hospitality and mem­ bership, Ruby McFarland; lunch bership. Ruby McFarland; lunch­ eon, Mary Buckles; recreation, Viv- 4-H Clubs, Grace Strohkirch and A.C.W.W. Marion Krauss. Lucille Ellison was a visitor. The next meeting, June 12, will feature a picnic to which all the families are invited. Homemade ice cream and all. the picnic will be held at the home of Amy Con­ ger. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ellison, moved to the place just north of the Pete Blue place, formerly owned by Mary King. Mr. Ellison has a chrome mine. Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Crouse of Columbus, Nebraska, are here for a two weeks visit with their sun and family, the Elwin Crouses. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Imes are here visiting with Imes sister .Mrs. Dale Tucker and family. They will return to their home in Arizona by way of Yellowstone Park. Charlie Miller was called to Hay­ ward, California by the illness and death of his brother. He re­ turned home Wednesday. Leonard Lee broke his ankle last week in a woods accident. Clyde Buckles pulled the liga­ ments in his ankle and is going around on crutches. Harold Messenger bought a Bra­ hma cow some time ago at an auc­ tion sale, and she now has a pure bred Brahma calf. Mrs. Russell Cooper went to Long Beach last week to help their daughter Darlene move back to Selma. Little Eric Louis Bergman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bergman, is improving in a Medford hospital where he has been since birth. He is now out of the incubator.
