A Christmas party for the em
ployees of the Illinois Valley Cash
Market was held in the Earl Spen
cer home on the evening of De
cember 16.
High-lights of the evening
were a hilarious performance of
"jingle-jangle" piano solos by Ed
Clarke and the advance showing
of what’s new in summer beach
wear for men modeled by Earl
Spencer.
The festivities were climaxed by
a visit from jovial old Saint
I "Butch” Nick and the distribution
of gifts.

Dear Lord, let tragic fighting
cease
And to the weary world bring
peace.
Again, as on that midnight clear
Let there be love and hope and
cheer.
Let those who fight for power
great
Who live in sin and greed and
hate.
Be conquered, Lord, and Thy
whole creation
Live again ns one peaceful
nation.
Let bells at Christmas time ring
out.
And may the mpn of nations
shout
That message brought us by
His birth —
"Peace, good will to men on
earth.”
Amen
Joy be
