At the m orning service Rev. Gray took fo r his theme the ques tion, “ Who is the King of G lory?” and w here we stand in our rela tion to Him. Are we w ith the mul titu d e who cry “ H osanna” one day and th e n e x t “ crucify Him.” W here when tried, tested and tem pted? W here shall we stan d at the judgm ent? I t was a h eart- searching sermon. Communion followed. Mrs. Dick sang “ The Palm s” and the choir had a special num ber, “ Lead Me to Calvary.” A nnouncem ents w ere made of th e business m eeting fo r Tuesday evening, a coming service fo r the dedication of children, and the evangelistic week of A pril 23-30 when Rev. A. J. W allen of Village Missions will be present with very helpful messages. P rep aratio n s are under way for the coming E aster sunrise service on P ro cto r Hill, a t 5:30 Sunday m orning, with the d ifferen t churches participating w ith music and an appropriate message. A large crowd is anticipated. In case o f rain the service will be held at the church. Among the visitors present were Mrs. boeseh and th ree children; Mrs. C. G. Stem and daughter K aren K ay; Mrs. Fay A rrant», Mr. Jam es Reed of G rants Pass; Mr. P. M. B ennett, Mrs. M aralyn T. Gill and Mrs. Mae Salvage. N ext week at “ W illadora” on W ednesday afternoon will occur th e m eeting of the Redwood circle, w ith an E aster program , with an E a ste r program , some hand work, e n te rta in m e n t and refreshm ents. A goodly attendance is desired. The Town circle is featu rin g a food sale on Saturday a t 10 a.m. a t the Valley Cleaners. Sunday school still is on the in crease w ith 113 p resent this last Sunday. O ur goal of 150 is ex pected to be reached this E aster m orning. Sunday school will sta rt prom ptly at 10:00 a.m. with sing ing and the E aster program which has l>een planned by Sunday School S u perintendent Mabel Yan- tlell. Regular m orning worship will begin at 11 :00 with P astor Burger I ringing the E aster message. At I I :45 church will be dismissed and th e re will I* an E aster egg hunt fo r the children on the church grounds. Everyone is invited to a t tend these services and the E aster egg hunt. If possible we would like for everyone atten d in g to bring at least two colored eggs for th e h u n t to make sure th at there will be su fficien t eggs for all the children. The E aster program will include music and song by the Owen girls, th eir instrum ents include base violin, viola and a violin. Also the high school male q u a rte t will be singing a sjiecial num ber. All are welcome. --------------o BRIDGEVIEW COMMUNITY Sunday services w ere held as usual last week. We had the pleasure of hearing Rev. Myers speak to us at the m orning service. Rev. and Mrs. M yers drove over from Medford to be with us S un day morning. This week the ladies of the church are m eeting today (T hurs day) to hang the new drapes which were purchased recently for o u r church. We a re filling the E aster baskets today also. S a tu r day the ladies will m eet again to color eggs fo r the big E aster egg hunt planned fo r Sunday. The Ju n io r chorus organized last W ednesday evening. The young peo>ple of this church love to sing and we have some excellent ta le n t represented here. They will present a speciaj num ber E aster m orning. Services planned for the coming week include Sunday school at 10 am . O ur goal this Sunday is: “ Every m ember present fo r every service on E aster Sunday.” Church services a t 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. A guest speaker will be in the pulpit at both services. A t 12:15 a big E aster egg hunt for all young people of this com munity. A t 1 p.m., a fellowship dinner will be spread under the trees. All friends of the church are invited. It is pot-luck and bring your own table service. At 2:30 the Apostolic F aith churches of M edford and G rants Pass will present th e ir large chorus and 35- piece orchestra in a sacred concert in keeping with the E aster season. A t 7 p.m. the young people’s m eeting. In te re st in this service is growing. A good program is assured. “ Everybody Sings” a t 7 p.m. W ednesday. At 8 p.m. W ed nesday is pray er m eeting. W ork is being started on the parsonage. A new pressure system is being installed and a bathroom and m odern kitchen is being built. N ext week we are planning on seeding our new lawn and land scaping the yard. A ttention is also called to the sun-rise service E aster morning.
