Nine years I ’ve been in Jake L ittle 's orchestra p la y in g the sax and the bassoon. F irs t we w ent a ll over the co u n try b u t now w e ’ve got a neat little spot in H ollywood, Jake like s me and he th in k s I p la y the sweetest sax he e ve r heard, but a long tim e ago he q u it passing me solo p a rts because sure as I ever got up w here I faced an audience I'd get nervous and m y darned m outh would s ta rt tw itc h in g and well, there 1 was. I'v e had to s it back and watch plenty o f o ther fellow s come and go, g e ttin g the solos, g e ttin g the hands, ge tting the raises in pay, and g e tting new and b ig g e r con tra c ts some place else.
