of the many millions that tourists will spend in Oregon in 1948. Remember—dollars
originally spent by tourists for transportation, amusement, accommodation' food,
motor services, retail items, etc., soon roll on to the dentist, farmer, butcher
.r,
doctor, baker, worker—in fact, everyone in this community.
DO THESE THINGS TO HELP! Know your community and state. Give visitors the infor
mation they want—or direct them to your Chamber of Commerce or others who are
qualified to offer facts and maps.
Be prepared to direct visitors to hotels, motels and other accommodations—to good
food—to all of the scenic attractions in this area and state. Suggest things to d j —
things to see! Be a good host. Serve our visitors sincerely and well. By so doing we’ll
make their stay more pleasant—and encourage them to stay longer. It will mean added
dollars to you and everyone.
