a two weeks furlough to visit his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mel
low of Holland. He has been on
a Hawaiian shipper for some time
and on his return to duty will be
transferred to another ship.

Cpl. Ernest S. Dunbar of Pine
Flat, near Selma, returned to his
home last Thursday on 30 days
leave. Cpl. Dunbar returned to
the U. S. on October 3d, after
about 11 months in Italy.
He
was wounded on July 12, and con
fined to a base hospital in Rome.
He received the Purple Heart dec
oration.
He will return to the
army hospital at Walla Walla.
