Fire Permit Extension Is Requested An appreciative and responsive attendance at the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce Tuesday noon luncheon in Hotel Drews, heard Dave Webb renew his plan for preventing forest fires and Don Cameron tell of the present status of road construction and repair, subjects of vital interest to us all. After a full discussion and the free expression of varying opin ions, Elwood Hussey moved and A. C. Hamrick seconded the motion which carried the fidlowing night message to Lt.-Gen. Nearly .'10 letters have been received from representative men in many com munities in the region of Curry, Del Norte, Siskiyou, and Jackson counties. All express their ap proval of the organization which is designed to meet the pressing need for careful planning for post-war activities.
