rows—always the health and hap
piness of a perfectly satisfied soul;
yet has lived with sickness and sor
row, smoothed the pillows and
closed the dying eyes of loved
ones, thereby gaining gratifica
tion of mind, as has our Ida.
On my visit to her home some
few days ago, she took me into her
best foom to see her aged and
helpless mother, over 90 years old,
with broken leg caused a number
of years ago by falling. I believe,
has to be put to bed, has to be
placed in her rocker during the
day,1 and I want to say right here,
that no mother ever fondled, or
gave more loving care to her baby
than Ida does that aged mother.
In that mother, too, abides a soul
cheerful beyond human compre
hension.
T dare not use the space to say
all I would like to , about this won-'
derful soiil, Ida, but will close by
saying: I have met her on many
occasions and always she bore a
smiling face, her eyes shining with
happiness and always “feeling
fine,’’ when often 1 knew she was
carrying a burden that would
break down almost anyone. I be
lieve she will go on smiling thru
all her earthly days, smile all the I
way across “the river” where she
will find the portals thrown wide
and hear a voice saying: “Come
ye blessed to my right.”
