Ö At the age of 21 years I entered the University of Southern Cali fornia College of Pharmacy— graduated in 1925—accepted em ployment with the Owl Drug com pany and for several years served as assistant store manager, then manager, leaving their employ to come to Oregon. For two years I was a partner * in the operation of a 280-acre farm at Murphy, known as the Dia mond J Ranch, which is now a part of the One Eleven Bar Ranch. My partner accepted a better oppor tunity in California and I moved my family to a smaller ranch in Grants Pass. I have a daughter in high school and a son in junior high school. Am now engaged in part-time farming on my 12-acre farm, corner Red wood highway and Leonard road. SPONSORED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE AMERICAN LEGION Am fltuff umployM pammiT'at the Owl Drug store in Grants Pass. Each year, for the past four years, I have worked with the Josephine County Agricultural Conservation Association. This work consists of checking farms in the county. Last year I, with two assistants, meas ured and mapped every acre of wheat that was signed up on this program. My experience with this pro gram has enabled me to become personally acquainted with the farmer and his tax problem and my work in the drug store has acquainted me with the city resi- dent and his tax situation. I favor a revaluation of all pro- perty and business establishments 4 ROUNDS and, if elected, shall endeavor to obtain a copy of the aerial pictures of the county that are being made by the army engineers.
