A new secretary had to be elected as Juanita Hult- man, the former one, had moved. Bob Wendt was elected to the of- fice. ( A report on “Flies in the Dairy Barn” was given by Dick Payne, after which all went to see John Smith’s calf. After adjournment refresh­ ments were served by Mrs. Smith and enjoyed by all. The next meeting is to be at the home of Harry Smith. o Ale and mutton pies were tossed about in the village of Hallaton, Eng­ land. Marilda Jane Floyd was born March 19th, 1866, near Sublimity, Marion County, Oregon, and pass­ ed away at her home in Kerby, Oregon, Sunday morning, March 17. Gravuside services were held March 19th at the Kerby Cemetery with Eastern Star Chapter No. 64 I conducting the services. She was married to Franklin Floyd at Grants Pass on April Sth, 1903. She spent most of her life in Southern Oregon excepting a few years in Eureka and San Fran- [ cisco, California, where she at­ tended school. She graduated from the San Franciscvo Dental college and practiced there and for many years in Kerby after her marriage. She was a member of Mission Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in San Francisco and later, on Nov. 13th, 1905, was elected by transfer to membership in Wes­ I tern Star Chapter O. E. S. No. 64 in Kerby and of which she was an active member until the time of her recent illness. Besides her husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hendricks of Los Angeles, California, and a brother, David Ayris of Kerby, Oregon. Aunt Rilda, as she was known to all her friends, lived a good Chris­ tian life, a life devoted to kind­ ness and charity.
