Nation Prepares for Lent
Less than three cows of every
thousand tested for tuberculosis
in Oregon during 1939 were react­
ors and less than two and one-half
cows of every thousand were sus­
pects, reports the state department
of agriculture.
During the year, 113,129 T. B.
tests were given, with 324 reactors
and 279 suspects.
In the same period 339,002
Bang's tests ere given, with 4,547
of 1.3 percent of the cattle being
reactors.
