Any girl who wishes to make applica tion can get one at The News of fice or Secretary Larry Manuel at the Grants Pass chamber building. There will be two examinations. The written one on January 6th and an oral examination the week following, date to be announced later. It will be a hard job, but will be worth it to any girl who is ask ing for a chance to get some place. The really smart girls on this com mission will be taken up in regular lines of business very quickly. So it is a wonderful opportunity to any girl. -------------- o--- ---- — Last Wednesday night Glenn Morrison Post No. 70 of the American Legion held their reg ular business meeting in the Leg ion hall at Cave Junction. There was a good turnout and the business of the evening was transacted so smoothly that the meeting was over at 10 o’clock. C. L. Schumacher was reported on the sick list at his home in Kerby and Don Morrison at the Veterans hospital in Portland. There were three visitors. K. D. LeVan, H. L. Hemingson and G. A. Hicks.
