Plans for winter highway traf fic-building campaigns were to be launched with intensification of direct sales promotion and pub licity activities in the Northwest, the Southwest and the Central Northwest supplementing national ' publicity and advertising cover age under the direction of Harry Lutgens, chairman, publicity and advertising committee. Objectives of the association's highway travel program are to make the Redwood Empire System of highways and its transporta tion facilities the major winter route to travel during the spring, summer and fall months. Preliminary plans for increas ing the quantity of folders, pho tos, cuts, mats, exhibits, displays and other material dealing with the Redwood Empire were devised and early planned, in order to capitalize to the fullest extent on channels and opportunities gen erated by Exposition year, in co operation with the Chumbera of Commerce unit. - o------------- Coming Attractions at Cave City Theater Attractions coming to the Cave City theater the rest of this year and those already booked for next year, are the best programs on the American screen, and the valley patrons of the theater can con gratulate themselves that they are going to have an opportunity to see the best pictures obtain able. Of special interest to most thea ter patrons is the announcement of Manager Fred Rout that he has secured the best serial ever made for showing in the near fu ture. It is entitled “Dick Tracy Returns,” and if you like thrilling detective stories, this will fill your hearts desire and then some. Watch for the announcement of the first episode soon. Begin at the start of this thrilling feature and see all of them. They will be shown on Wednesday's program. ’ Saturday and Sunday “Next in the Hardy Series” will come Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4. Undoubtedly you have already heard of it by this time. Featuring Mickey Rooney, Lewis Stone and the other members of the Hardy fam ily, "Love Finds Andy Hardy,” is given added box office impetus by the addition of lovable Judy Gar land to its already imposing cast. “Love Finds Andy Hardy” is good, wholesome entertainment that every member of the family can thoroughly appreciate. Wednesday and Thursday Movie cameramen, who can or dinarily work anywhere from the roof of the Empire State building to the depths of the Pacific ocean, had to have special pro tection during the filming of the new Southern Asia sensation, "Booloo,” Paramount's Malay ro mance, which comes Wednesday and Thursday of next week. On one of the most dangerous assignments in the history of the motion pictures, the cameraman worked for a year in the trackless jungles of Southern Asia, four hundred miles north of Singapore. Since the cameraman worked with wild tigers stalking about on every side, cages were constructed with thick iron bars behind which they ground away at the cameras, and so spectators were presented with the unusual sight of men in cages with animals on the out side looking in.
