Sauer of Kerby, under went a minor surgery last Mon day at the Josephine General hos pital. W. F. Darger of the Associated Service Station was in Grant« Pass Wednesday transacting some business matters. Mrs Rae Kiln ;:s of Los Angeles is visiting her sister, Mrs J. I’. Boyd of the Siskiyou Auto camp for a short time. —o— John Darger left for Redding California, to work on a drilling truck that was in the valley a short time ago. Ralph Messenger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Messenger of Takilma, left last week for Corvallis, to at tend Oregon State college. —o— I. B. Hearing of O'Brien shot a 141 pound buck this week near the Esterly mine property. Guil ford Cooke was called upon to help pack it out. Robbin Drews, son of Art Drews, arrived in Cave Junction Monday for a visit with “Dad.” He will return to the University of Oregon Sunday. —o— Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Martin of th«* Martin Hardware were in Grants Pass Wednesday. W A. Hoskins took charge of the store while they were away. —o— Mrs. Emil Vahrenwald of Hol land left last Friday for Spokane, Washington, to be with her mother, Mrs. Lena Jackson, who is seriously ill. Mrs. Jackson form erly resided at Murphy. —o—— Mr and Mrs. Bryant Moore of Exeter. California, arrived in the city last Friday and are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Vernon on Caves highway. Mrs. Moore is a sister of Mr Vernon. —O' Oliver and Ralph Huber, Mrs. Earl Boyd and her father, E. J. Wilber, returned home Tuesday from the Pendleton Round Up They all report having had a won derful time ami seeing the best show ever held. —o— Mrs. J. E. Newell and three children who have been visiting for the past three weeks with Mr* \< w< ir- parents, Mr. and Mrs E. L. Oppie of O'Brien, re turned to their home in Denver, Colorado, last Tuesday. —o— Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Scott and Mrs. Newton of Santa Barbara. California, spent several days vis iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs E. L. Oppie of O'Brien. The Scotts are considering several small ranches with a home i view in our valley. —-o— The first regular meeting o the Cave City Park Model Rail- road club will be held this Friday evening at the Cave City Park. 7:30. Visitors as well as those in tercsted in joining the hobby club are invited. Regular meetings as well as visitor's night to be determined at this time. —o— Mr>. Harry Floyd and daughter. Helen, and Mrs. Florence Hallock, attended the D A K luncheon at the Redwoods hotel in (¡rants Pass last Thursday. Mrs. Holt the State Regent was the honorary guest After luncheon the D. A.
