Athey Ask most anyone on the street who they are going to vote for Uniteil States Senator and you will get an answer, "1 haven't de- cided yet,” or a flat statement, “Willis Mahoney of course.” There are a few now and then, who will say, “I guess I will vote for Hol man," but they are few and far between, and they are not positive about it yet. Any sane and sensible person who has the best interests of the county and especially the Illinois Valley at heart, won't guess about who they are going to vote for. I happen to know both candidates personally, and when I tell you that a vote for Holman is a vote for control of the state by a few political manipulators in Portland, I'm not far off, and the best in formed political thinkers in south- en Oregon know it. Elect Holman senator and try to get some recognition for the southern part of the state and see where you get off at! You will have as much chance as wish ing to peek into the pearly gates of Heaven and still live on earth. On the other hand elect Willis Mahoney senator and ask for some recognition and if it is hu manely possible to do it, Willis Mahoney will work night and day to see that it is done, ami we want to tell the good people of the Illi nois Valley and the whole county at large, and especially the voters —o— of Grants Pass, that when Willis Eight more students registered at Kerby High school Monday, Mahoney is elected senator, one bringing the enrollment to 7.
