Jones left last Tuesday for Brookings where they spent several days. —o— Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Hussey were in Grants Pass the first of the week. Gordon Leonard was transact ing business in Grants Pass the first of the week. —o— George J. Davis of Kerby and family have recently moved to Crescent City, California. —0— Mrs. L. E. Thorp left last Fri day on a business trip to Portland, where she will remain for several weeks. —O' Mr. and Mrs. Cassidy Wymore of the Furniture Mart spent last Monday in Grants Pass transact ing business. —o— Mr. and Mrs. William Carff of Kerby made a trip to Grants Pass last week end. They were accom panied by Chas. Lull, metallurgist of the smelter. --- O--- Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Jacobson of the Variety store, spent Thanks- giving in Medford with f riends. They have observed this occasion for the past four years. —o— Mr. and Mrs. Blake L. Miller of Kerby, had as guests over the holidays, Miss Hazel Randolph, Mrs. Mary Randolph and II. E. Hollingsworth of Grants Pass. —o--- Mr. and Mrs. Homer Phillips and daughters left last Monday evening for Tacoma, Washington where Mr. Phillips has found steady employment. Mr. und Mrs. C. F. Hards re- turned to the valley last week from Lakeview, Oregon where they have been all summer. Mr. Hards is interested in mining and plans to remain for the winter. —o— Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Werelius made a trip to Crescent City last week eml. They were accompan ied by Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Athey, Mr. Werelius is connected with the smelter in Cave City. —o— Mar Mr. and Mrs. George tin and daughter Janet returned from San Francisco last Tuesday morning after visiting their son, John Abernathy Martin who is on the S. S. Pruett which has just re turned from Honolulu. —o— Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Merrill and little daughter, Sandra, left last Friday for Portland where they will make their home. Mr. Merrill will spend part of his time be tween his Portland office and the smelter in Cave City. -O--- , Mrs. Elberta Bosch is improving rapidly at the Josephine General hospital where she went to have a major operation.
